[ There's a brief moment he thinks he might be hearing things, the knock so quiet it almost doesn't register. But he does get up, lurching to the door to open it, just to be sure;
Ah.
Awkward indeed is the word, as is the quiet that stretches as Shinjiro peers down at that expression with a stiff one of his own. ]
Hyakuya. [ Since somebody's gotta break the silence eventually. He's aware they have something to talk about, but just to make sure- ] You need something?
( Mika had come with. words and ideas in mind. but he feels like a kid at the front of the class who has to give a presentation suddenly - can't remember a thing he meant, and can't recall anything but - the familiar scent of his blood.
This was probably a mistake, and he should probably evacuate. That seems to be the only reasonable option.
But he hesitates, despite escape being his natural instinct. )
[ It had been a while, since the incident; frankly, while Shinjiro himself had opinions, nor does he have any interest in hunting anyone down until it becomes necessary. Mikaela's not a baby, he can do things on his own...or so he thought, anyway.
Still, he's here now. Clearly not thrilled about it, but would anyone be?

Mika seems to hesitate again, but he'll come in when invited. He'll take up a place against the wall awkwardly, even if Shinjiro seems to gesture for him to sit. He still isn't sure if this should be overwrought or quick; which is better, right? (He doesn't think anything can make this right, which offers him very little guidance.)
It doesn't help that neither of them are chatty, so it's just awkward. Not that Mika minds the air between them, but it means he's on his own.
He guesses he'll start with the frankest approach, because he doesn't - understand Shinjiro as well as the others. He's... standoffish and brusque, but from what he's seen and understood, he isn't cruel. He did tell him not to run. But... )
