[ what kind of reviews did yamato find on yelp (ignore the reviews from the other easterners)
Tatara looks at Yamato curiously. ] Sure.
[ There's a couch with a blanket and pillow tossed haphazardly over the cushions, a neatly made bed, and a chair with a few clothes draped over the seat. Take your pick of spot to sit, Yammy Toe.
Tatara shoves the couch-blankets aside and sits on an open spot. ]
I'm no vampire expert, but I can try to help if there's anything I can do.

[ He will go ahead and take the couch, then! He sits, back straight. It almost feels like he's in a job interview or something, even if they had a fun conversation before. It's probably because he's asking something pretty serious. ]
I wanted to know if there was a way to allow Malice and Mika to eat human food. And...if that could eliminate their need to drink blood.
Tatara, in contrast, is relaxed. He peers at him curiously, listens to him intently as he talks. ]
Huh. Get them to eat human food? [ He immediately props his elbows into his knees, leans forward to prop his chin in his palms, and puckers his lips. This is his thinking face. ] I think...it's theoretically possible with magic...
[ He pauses. A thought crosses his mind that causes his head to snap towards Yamato. ]
It's just a thought I've had. Malice likes it when I describe the taste of human food to him, because he can't eat it. It seems like he'd rather eat that than hurt humans. Mika, too.
[ Sort of. He kind of just wanted to make Malice happy at first, but now, he's thinking about how it should extend to Mika, and how it'd be better for everyone overall. ]
Not quite. I can try a seal or something, if you think that'd be the right approach?
If Mika and Malice agree to it, then I think it's a good idea. I know Malice was concerned about it at the beginning.
[ Well, he knows Yamato and Mika are countrymates, and there was the whole...bitegate thing... But he's a little surprised he knows Malice is a vampire. ]
Yeah, I'll talk to Mika about it. Malice, too. I just wanted to see if it was possible before presenting it to him, since I didn't wanna get his hopes up if it wasn't.
[ He would've felt like he baited Malice into getting excited or something like that. ]
Thanks, Tatara. I'll keep it in mind. Haha...just don't mention that I worked too hard on this though, yeah? I'm just an old man doing his best.
[ Tatara smiles and nods easy. It's a good idea, and he likes it. So long as Yamato is comfortable talking to both vampires, then he'll be hands off with this. He thinks Yamato will come to him if he needs help, anyway.
That last comment has him change his whole attitude, though, from sage to regular Tatara. ]
No way. [ He laughs. ] You're not that old, are you?
[ He doesn't mean it in a flirty way! (They are both taken.) He's just endeared by Tatara's excitement. ]
It's too coincidental. Didn't think I'd meet someone with the same birthday and age as me while I'm here, but I didn't realize you were only 22. Being a Sage is a lot of responsibility for someone our age.

[ He's just gonna give him a little smile as he walks in. He's heard good things about Tatara so far, so maybe this request will be okay...right? ]
I...have a question for you, since you're our Sage. It's about -- the vampires and their need to drink blood.

Was there another incident?

[ That, Tatara doesn't need to worry about. ]

But it's not, so he settles back into his seat. ]
I see... That'd probably keep everyone healthier overall, since no one has to lose blood on a daily basis.
[ Tatara hasn't needed to give anymore blood since the initial bloodbath, so he trusts Malice and Mika have it figured out, but. ]
It's not a bad thought. Have you tried anything with magic yet?

[ The other thing he didn't mention is that he isn't a magic expert, either.
He's making an earnest attempt to think, though. He taps his chin. ]
Like supressing the blood hunger, you mean?

[ It'd improve their quality of life, he thinks. Neither of them want to have to do it. ]
What are your thoughts?

[ He's a weirdo, okay! Let him live his best retired, divorced life. ]
I'm twenty-two.

[ In contrast, Tatara acts like he never grew up. He puts himself right in Yamato's personal space, staring hard at him. ]
Me too! When's your birthday?!
[ Who's older?! He has to come up with a new way of calling him! ]
no subject
[ Why is Tatara all up in his space! Maybe they're the same age or something?! ]
no subject
[ Indoor voice, Tatara! Have you ever seen a twenty two year old light up like a kid on Christmas? That's him. ]
Me, too! We're twins!
[ :O :O :O :O :O :O :O :O :O ]
I'm gonna call you Yamato. You're okay with your first name only, right? Since we're the same age?
no subject
[ He sounds like he's trying to roll his eyes there, but truthfully, Tatara's excitement is very sweet. ]
Fine by me. Always has been.
[ Heh, how cute. ]
Same birthday and everything, huh? Isn't that something?
no subject
It is! All of us came here from different universes and different Japans and here we are, with the same age and same birthday.
[ Hehe! He sits back in his seat and gestures, both of his hands flung wide. ]
That feels worth celebrating!

I guess it can be a lot sometimes, but it's fun. I get to meet people like you, after all.
[ Hehe!
Tatara exhales, and then nods definitively. ]
We should hold a joint birthday party.
