You think he's behind held against his will?

[ His expression looks a bit contemplative at this. ]

Hmm...it is entirely possible, but I can't say I would know for certain, since it is still an unknown as to why he has been hidden and secluded away. Though, I am planning on contacting him to attempt to verify the situation in full.

You're not, no. Though I assume you won't be singing this to the entire Country and back.

Either way, I intend to see how far I am able to go first before doing much else.

[ So no real support for now. He is going to do something like a little test run of sorts. If their defenses are too high from some kind of secret who-knows-what, there is no need to risk anything like foolishly stepping in physically if there's magic to do it for him. ]

...Is there some piece of the puzzle I am missing? What kind of details would make it an ill-advised venture, exactly?

[ he blinks once, the rest of him impressively still. ]

Jing Yuan, do you really think Central could keep the most powerful wizard detained against his will?

[ Jing Yuan only simply tilts his head at him. ]

I can't say I would have assumed that for certain, since I had not.

I assume that you, however, seem to know more on the matter than I do?

[ usually he would throw in a snarky remark here, but he doesn't. this is business after all. ]

Oz isn't conscious, so you won't gain anything from trying to communicate him. And by probing the defenses of the castle, it'd be making a bad situation worse. Oz is the strongest wizard among all the countries, but as he is now, he's basically just a giant sitting manastone.

[ Jing Yuan absorbs this information carefully, humming to himself. ]

Do you know how is it he managed to get into his current state as well?

We were brought here by accident when the original wizards disappeared. It makes sense that this is a continuation of that.

[ whatever that is, but they still don't know much about the Moon besides that it's Bad News Bears. ]

Was it someone from Central who let you know about the state of him?

[ A pity that they do not. The Moon seems to be working hard to be a problem, with its bloody rocks being everywhere... ]

Considering the state of things, wouldn't Central prefer to keep that information to themselves?

And you're right, except they need all the help they can get to reinforce the barrier.

I think it is certainly suspect on their end that they would divulge such information freely rather than it being an indication of you telling a lie. Even if they do need help.

But, it is what it is. I will have to consider these matters carefully, either way.

I get what you're saying, but they're not the West. This is the kind of information they would happily kill for.

Mm...I understand. In retrospect, I can believe that easily enough.

While we're at it, I do appreciate the warning. I suppose you also know the prince is back as well, then, since you know about Oz.

[ Jing Yuan smiles at him, though after that, he yawns. ]

Speaking of which, did you get an opportunity to confer with the West once more?

Yeah, I do.

[ khun blinks at the yawn...do you need a nap old man. ]

I did, with Cid. One of the things they're working on are resonance neutralizers—technology that theoretically can detect a magical signature and neutralize it.

[foresightis2020]

[ Yeah, he does.

Time waits for no one, though. Even if he'll definitely be catching a nap after this. ]

Hmmm...I see that things are proceeding at a foreboding pace on their end. Did they happen to tell you about any other kinds of technology?

Nothing else that seemed particularly relevant: light emitters and those sort of things. We may be there at the behest of the General, but they're still aware that we're Western Wizards not strictly from Western Country.

[foresightis2020]

...I see. Wise of them to keep whatever other cards they have to their chest.

[ It is at this time that Jing Yuan rises up back to his feet, on account of thinking he has most certainly covered most things, and initially he just arrived to impart information, but...

It turns out it was unnecessary. It's fine, though. ]

As it is, I truly did not arrive for any other reason, so I will be leaving you to it.
