[Seeing fresh injuries isn't new to her, but that still doesn't make it a pleasant sight. Anyways, she'll start on a healing spell, murmuring her incantation and directing it to fixing up whatever fractures are running through his ribs before focusing on the bruising. If nothing else, assisting with a traumatic amputation has given her a boost in confidence when healing with this world's brand of magic, so it shouldn't be an uncomfortable sensation.
As she heals, she'll make a quiet hum at his statement.]
That doesn't mean I've given up on trying. But I'm not going to pretend that today didn't happen... And we've still got a ways to go before we figure out how we can solve the problem of the missing sage and wizards.
I'm not opposed to teammwork. [ he's used to it actually, but he doesn't say as much. at least he's a compliant patient, not making any sudden movements so she can focus on healing him to the rest of his ability. ]

It didn't even really occur to her to use magic like that, despite how useful that would be for someone in her occupation. But she can understand a little more about why he said what he did in the courtyard, even if she she can't agree about it being a reason to kill someone.]

That's one way to look at it. [ it's not entirely incorrect, but if he just wanted him to stop he could have asked or just resorted to something physical that he wasn't intending to be lethal.

[That's rather straightforward, all things considered. Does it explain why mind-reading specifically set him off? Yes and no. It still feels like she's missing some pieces of the puzzle, given that the sensation of losing control can be felt in a number of ways.]

[He hasn't done anything yet, so she figures he's not just going to suddenly snap and stab Tatara or what have you, but it still seems worth asking.]
Obviously I had no control over that either, but it's not like I could do anything about it back then.
[ was he pissed off initially? yeah. but he's not stupid enough to suicide mission when he knows nothing about the situation and faces 0% of success. ]
[That also aligns with the fact that he didn't continue to try and attack Mika once a bunch of them showed up on scene. It's not ideal that he jumped straight into a murder attempt in the first place, but the pragmatism she can work with.]
