I have no reason to think it's unusual, even though ghosts did inflict it. Their weapons were certainly solid enough.

...Solid? So they didn't do any weird ghost magic on you? They just...used weapons like regular people?

They were ghost weapons, which were solid enough. If a ghost can rattle doors and thump around noisily, it surely has enough ability to cause harm.
