I don't know what kind of guy I'd be if I told you that without making good on it. We're pretty similar...and I relate to a lot of the things you've been through.

[ He pauses, debating whether to add on something - ultimately, he decides to go for it. ]

It's not like I open up to just anyone, myself.

Yeah. It's pretty damn hard to open up 'bout this sorta stuff. But I appreciate that you've trusted me with it. An' that you've got my back.

[It means more to him than words can possibly express. When you're someone who's so used to losing people, it can be difficult to open yourself up for attachment again. But he's also someone who's so desperate for companionship, he can't really stop himself from doing it. So this, right here and now, is exactly what he's been searching for.

He just hopes nothing bad happens.]
