No! I'm just doing normal things and then they ask who I am looking all annoyed and weirded out, and then they're like "oh, nevermind".

It could very well be not something that many Easterners know of, if there is hidden collaboration with the West. Though, it is about to become our problem soon enough...as I suspect it is related to the Great Calamity.
In addition, this researcher mentioned something about 'hidden labs'. So, if they have something like that in Eastern territory to help facilitate their research and clean up, I would hardly be surprised.

Unfortunately at this time I have not heard of anyone speaking with an Eastern dignitary as of yet—though, I believe it is highly likely at least a couple among our number have had the opportunity. Given the size of our group it would be far more improbable of it not being the case.

Quite literally what I and my comrades have fought against in the past. The Western Country's machinations doth align with that of the Garlean Empire to a frightening degree.

The relationship shift between Western and Central is likely due to Vincent being the current royal in charge. Vincent has a history of being friendly with the West, he's the King's brother.

I'm keeping a count of who knows because a secret becomes less and less of one the more people are keyed in. And letting this slip to the wrong people, even accidentally, would be disastrous.
