Am I? [ he doesn't mind, but it's strange to hear someone refer to him that way; most people wouldn't dare, and even if they did he'd never allow it. the entirety of how this date has been and how he feels aside, that laughter is disarming enough on it's own. it makes flutters between his ribs, a brand new feeling that'll take some getting used to. ]
Well you're my blanket. [ a beat. ]
My first one. [ he mumbles an impero with the hand he doesn't have wrapped around tatara, summoning over the bag he brought what seems like days ago.
snacks, drinks, a change of clothes, an umbrella... there we go, a nice cashmere blanket in light grey that definitely matches his room. ]
[ His first one. Tatara's eyes snap upward at Aguero; he'd think he would've had others like him before, considering, well...everything about him (said in the most positive and affectionate way), so it's a little surprise. His eyes are curious, searching.
Though they're quickly drawn away by the arrival of the bag—he gives a little ooh in awe, because for a few moments, he thought all the magic in the world resided in deep azure.
The blanket settles over him, and he eases. ] Whoa...it's so soft.
[ He grins up at Aguero. ]
We could stay the night here with everything you brought.
[ though his thoughts are still dusted with clouds, he meets the other's gaze easily. his expression is open, an energy thrumming underneath the otherwise calm blue. all the parts of him will settle eventually, but for now they're a relatively pleasant backdrop to his heartbeat.
the truth is he's never had the want or time to engage in a relationship like this even if he has relations before. or when there was perhaps, the slimmest of chances—maybe this is the lesson he took from it. ]
We could. [ he considers for a moment several things which definitely include his hair (he's got some at least 1 hair product in the bag and a brush, but that's far from his usual ensemble) and the consideration if anyone would miss them. there's a nonzero chance that someone could go off back at the manor, but ultimately the answer is an easy one. if they're really needed, everyone else will just have to work harder.]
So let's stay. [ declared, but he leaves the smallest space for an objection, head tilting to the side in the grass. ]
[ Since Tatara has absolutely no reason to object, his grin only widens. He can feel the shadows creeping up his legs as the sun dips behind the trees, but it's not as cold as his previous excursions out here have been—between the soft blanket, and pressed to Aguero, he's never felt more comfortably warm.
With a soft sigh, he pushes himself up, just slightly. ]
Let's stay.
[ He leans in, if only to give him a quick kiss on the cheek.
This isn't exactly how he thought this date would go, but then again, that wasn't how he thought his coffee afternoon would go, or his trip to the bath would go, or... ]
[ with the confirmation he settles, wrapping up tatara snugly in his arms. he lets the peace of the soon to be night breathe, before remembering something important. he starts to whisper, his words only for them and maybe the flowers. ]
Oh, right. Even though I said the date was perfect, now that you're my boyfriend [ that word is very new, with a shine and shimmer. ] we'll be going on plenty more.
[ Tatara settles into his arms, and he's surprised by how...comfortable? natural? this all feels. He sighs, and he melts into the sea.
Well. Not totally. The way that word comes over him makes his heart skip over the surface of the waters, and he blinks. But when it passes, he lets the ripples come over him and leave his lips in a chuckle. ]
You know how much I'm looking forward to that, [ he pauses, if only for dramatic effect. ] Mister Boyfriend.
[ It tickles his tongue, too, dandelions and butterflies and sunlight on the water. ]
...I think I can get used to that too. [ aguero. boyfriend.
it makes his chest hurt, but that's a part of being alive, isn't it? he nestles in closer, burying his face in tawny brown strands. he's never felt so exposed before, or so warm.
