[ though his thoughts are still dusted with clouds, he meets the other's gaze easily. his expression is open, an energy thrumming underneath the otherwise calm blue. all the parts of him will settle eventually, but for now they're a relatively pleasant backdrop to his heartbeat.

He can feel the shadows creeping up his legs as the sun dips behind the trees, but it's not as cold as his previous excursions out here have been—between the soft blanket, and pressed to Aguero, he's never felt more comfortably warm.
With a soft sigh, he pushes himself up, just slightly. ]

This isn't exactly how he thought this date would go, but then again, that wasn't how he thought his coffee afternoon would go, or his trip to the bath would go, or... ]
[ with the confirmation he settles, wrapping up tatara snugly in his arms. he lets the peace of the soon to be night breathe, before remembering something important. he starts to whisper, his words only for them and maybe the flowers. ]
Oh, right. Even though I said the date was perfect, now that you're my boyfriend [ that word is very new, with a shine and shimmer. ] we'll be going on plenty more.

Well. Not totally. The way that word comes over him makes his heart skip over the surface of the waters, and he blinks. But when it passes, he lets the ripples come over him and leave his lips in a chuckle. ]
You know how much I'm looking forward to that, [ he pauses, if only for dramatic effect. ] Mister Boyfriend.
[ It tickles his tongue, too, dandelions and butterflies and sunlight on the water. ]

it makes his chest hurt, but that's a part of being alive, isn't it? he nestles in closer, burying his face in tawny brown strands. he's never felt so exposed before, or so warm.
