This is much faster than taking the stairs. [He just needed to hop out of his window and scale the wall, no big deal. At the very least, he's not wearing his stilts-- Yamato's floor is safe.
Then he takes a seat on the windowsill, crossing his legs.]
So, my little skeptic, you've survived this long. Surely you have learned something in your time here?
[ He has no idea what to show Ithaqua. What does he wanna see?
The first thing that comes to mind is this: He holds out his hand, says his incantation, and then...there's a blade that appears in his hand. It's a little abstract and doesn't seem to have a distinct form other than being the outline of some kind of large dagger, and it's radiating a dark kind of magic.
He holds it. ]
That's one thing I can do.
[ Then, he holds out his other hand and summons a second one. ]
[Oh! He didn't expect Yamato to be so brave as to try it-- but Ithaqua can still tell that his bravery can only go so far. Plus, Yamato is not at all a combatant, thus he's much lower on the rungs of strength compared to someone like Ithaqua.
Yamato might note that the painted eyes of Ithaqua's mask are flashing, just before he swings into action from a resting position. He's definitely fast despite his gangly limbs, as he lunges at Yamato like a cat, to pin him down and hold onto his wrists. Yamato had better act fast.]
But, thanks to Kurapika's training, Yamato's reflexes are faster now than they used to be. It's why he's able to let one hand escape getting pinned down completely, and he's not entirely motionless underneath Ithaqua's very strong grasp. (20)
He de-summons the blade in that hand and instead, he murmurs his incantation. He tries to place a "curse" on Ithaqua, one that will have a calming effect, in hopes that this de-escalates. Even if he pretty much deserves to get his ass kicked. ]
[A spell? On Ithaqua? It's a little funny, he can't quite tell what effect it has on him, just that it makes him feel a little sluggish in the limbs.
(Jokes on Yamato, he's actually quite calm and clear-headed. He just wants to give him a good scare.)
Ithaqua gives himself a shake, like a dog trying to dry itself, trying to shake off the curse-- of course, it's useless because he doesn't have the experience yet to shrug those off. So he simply decides to settle for grabbing Yamato's cheek with the palm of his hand and squishing it.]
You're very cute, like a little cub attempting play for the first time. Sadly, that cannot work when you have true threats up against you.
[ Ithaqua is truly the product of his worst nightmares, a foe who likes to toy with him, mess with his psyche when he is simultaneously, indeed, a true threat. If he wanted to, he could've killed him, but Yamato thinks Ithaqua would rather continue toying with him instead. Maybe he's terribly wrong about that, but for whatever reason, Ithaqua hasn't killed him tonight and for that he should be thankful.
He lets the other blade in his hand disintegrate into nothing, and falls silent.
Heheh! No more fight left in you? [Ithaqua rolls off of Yamato to pick him up under the arms, like one would handle an ornery cat, to get him to sit upright again.]
You had the courage for a moment there, a shame it lasted for only an instant. But I think I understand why-- you haven't the skills or necessary training to keep it up.
[Ithaqua, of course, is just going to barrel right on.]
You need training, dear little skeptic. Quite a lot of it, in fact. You're as thin as a stick, but there's another one like that in this room, and that's never stopped me before. [And yes, he is implying that he will do it. He'll bring this zero into a hero.]
HELP
oh. Oh, no. Yamato jumps a little at the sight of Ithaqua but he'll open the window anyway. ]
The door is right there, you know!

So, my little skeptic, you've survived this long. Surely you have learned something in your time here?
no subject
Man, what haven't I learned.
[ His response is very dry. He is so tired. ]
Magic's one of those things, though. I've been...trying it out, since the other time we talked. This skeptic's made some progress on it, at least.
no subject
[What is sympathy? Ithaqua knows that if trouble actually starts, it won't be kind enough to wait until they're refreshed.]

Make them solid. Are you even capable of cutting anything with them? [He is indeed a critic.]
no subject
[ Flashbacks to his mission with Solomon...yeah.
He focuses a little more, and sure enough, while they keep their slightly obscure shapes, they do look a lot more solid. ]
You have something I can chop with it?
no subject
He's joking. He just wants to scare the daylights out of Yamato.]
no subject
[ He considers this. Ithaqua is a pretty mischievous guy, but he also seems agile. He knows what he's doing.
So.
Yamato will just take a swipe at his hand. He hopes it doesn't actually land. ]

Hm?

[ Or maybe, Ithaqua, you are just a scary motherfucker regardless of whether someone has the skills to handle you or not- ]
...I guess.

Are you offering?
[ And is he seriously contemplating agreeing to this, if he's right? ]
no subject
Yes, yes I am. Have you enough courage for it?
no subject
Does he have enough courage, indeed. It takes him a moment to answer, but ultimately, he decides he needs to do what's best. ]
Fine. I'll – I'll do it.
no subject
You must be prepared for that. [He waggles his fingers.] Perhaps eat better food, and drink more water.
no subject
[ He eats balanced meals! ... Or so he thinks, anyway. What does Ithaqua-sensei have to say about this? ]
no subject
More grains, more greens, perhaps. Put meat on your bones so your body can actually support you while running.
Do you even eat eggs?
no subject
[ He's fit!! He's an idol! ... But not a combatant, so. Yeah. Maybe more muscle is necessary. ]
I eat all that stuff already, you know. Are you saying I need more of it?
no subject
How often do you eat fowl?
