If he doesn't move soon, Malice's grip on the back of his shirt is going to go tight as if to keep him there... just for a little longer, anyway.]

His own heartbeat (because yes, his world's vampires are Like This) has picked up as well. And why wouldn't it? He hasn't experienced anything like this (in years? ever?) and it's almost overwhelming.
In other words, we're going to stand here hugging for a truly awkward amount of time. Malice's grip is tight on the back of Yamato's shirt but he's very careful not to crush the poor guy in his grip, and when he eventually realizes he's been doing this for far too long, Malice takes a step back and glances away.]
