Kurapika moves to go put the little bag of sugar on his coffee table, but before he can reach it, he drops the bag in favor of bringing both hands up to his head, a strangled sort of sound escaping him as he's hit with a wave of intense pain. ]
[ Ah. The distinct feeling of Ahito readying a spell.
Kurapika sits back despite the pain in his head and holds up his hands. They were just discussing ghosts, and so he can't blame Ahito for jumping to this conclusion. ]
[ He does, because he'll take whatever Ahito lends him so he can actually get around. Kurapika may be used to his own room, but he doesn't know it well enough to navigate it while he can't see at all. ]
[ He climbs onto his bed in a clumsy fashion, grasping at the sheets for purchase before finally plopping down. It's unlike him to do so, but this is a new situation entirely. ]
I felt... something break inside of me, and this sharp pain all through my arm. Then, I felt normal again.
[ And that was the most disconcerting part of it all. ]
[It's so disconcerting to see Kurapika move so gracelessly, having seen plenty of him before both in combat and out.
...Extremely concerning, too.]

[He'll remove his shades to take a closer look, but even with them on he could tell Kurapika didn't seem physically injured.]

[Hopefully it helps. They've got an oddly crisp, refreshing flavor; much like Ahito's attempts at healing, there's a soothing quality that would be perfect for washing away the muddled haze that comes with overheating from exertion.]
[ His hand tenses when Ahito grabs onto it, but it doesn't take more than a second or two before he grips that hand back like it's a lifeline. Even through the pain, exhaustion, and fear he feels right now, that hand feels like a bit of light in the darkness for him to cling onto. ]
There was a cursed object. You don't have to tell me it was stupid, but I touched it, thinking I could cleanse it more easily if I did.
[He will keep holding on, taking a seat on the edge of the bed.]

[He repeats the word gravely. He's studied curses for fun - a morbid reminder of all the ways one's resentment of a life unfulfilled could remain in the world long after the user passed.]
...So, what, then? Will you let it keep eating away at you - because it's a punishment?
[ He shifts his hand, threading their fingers together so he can feel the warmth of Ahito's palm more thoroughly against his own. It's been a long time since he's allowed himself something like this, and the comfort that it brings is undeniable. ]
Of course not. I'll adjust and learn to deal with it so that I can keep going.
[He'll allow their fingers to thread - gripping his hand tight in return.]
We need to get it purified. There's things you need to do - a place you need to return to, right?
Don't leave something like this to fester. No matter how strong you are, it could destroy you and every chance you have of achieving the things you want.
