To tell you the truth, I have more free time now than I did back home. So... it's easy to find time to go on dates or otherwise spend time together.

A month and a half is long enough to get to know someone when you spend a lot of time with them.

[ His gaze flicks up to Ahito. ]

Both the Central mission and his possession propelled us together, among other things.

Sure, but dating's kind of its own thing, isn't it?

We're close as partners, but it's not like we're expected to keep in contact - much less stay together - after all this is said and done.

[ It is, and Ahito's right about that. Honestly, Kurapika had expected to leave everyone behind and go back home too, but... ]

He plans on staying together after this, regardless of where that ends up being.

Yeah, see? It's a lot more serious than just getting to know someone.

[He didn't really doubt it, though, because Kurapika's way to serious not to treat a relationship like that with all the respect it's due.]

Does that mean he's planning to follow you back to your world...?

If I decide that's where we go... then yes. He'll help me attain my goals.

[ Of which Kurapika has a whole mess of feelings about, since he thinks Akira has no business helping him with something so gruesome. ]

I don't want to. Not if I can help it.

[ He sighs. ]

As long as we're together, I refuse to allow him to kill. I'm well aware that that means I'll have to make a difficult decision at some point.

[ In other words, whether or not he'll even go back home. ]

Isn't that just going to be "when we leave?"

I would hope to make the decision before then. I'm not leaving it up to a spur of the moment feeling.

[ Which is what makes this so difficult for him. ]

I've given up too much to easily let everything go. [ ... ] But I can't return as if nothing has changed either.

It does sound like a lot's changed for you since you got here.

Everything I expected to happen if I reconnected with my friends back home ended up happening here.

[ He's a little bit mad about it, mostly because he hates being right about this particular thing. ]

My resolve weakening.

[ He shakes his head. ]

My friends have always reminded me that there was more to life—that I could enjoy myself as I traveled, that having fun and caring about others was possible.

[ Sometimes, rage blinds Kurapika to those feelings, so being confronted with thoughts like that is a true wakeup call for him. ]

When it comes to achieving my goals? Yes.
