Ahito's room is a sleek affair, with a dark grey accent wall preventing the place from being a sterile white, and comfortable brown leather furniture matching with the similarly colored bookshelves. In spite of his delinquent attitude, a fine wooden desk stands near a wall equipped with pens, inkwells, and paper, with plenty of room to reference a heavy textbook or two. The drawers contain similar stationary supplies, though the lowest and largest of them features a lock paired with a small key Ahito keeps on his person.
On the wall next to the desk is a large corkboard with ample room to pin up notes and reminders, and not far away is a simple full-sized bed with navy blue bedding and a nearby nightstand with a lamp.
The attached bathroom is small, with a toilet, sink, and mirror that doubles as a medicine cabinet. A narrow, open storage space near the sink houses towels and toiletries, and a shower/bath combination is separated from the rest of the room by a black curtain.
[Sometimes you just wander the house being nosey to see where people are mingling around... he's not always successful at catching everyone, but he does at least catch Ahito later in the day after their first talk. Good, good, he didn't stay tucked in bed.]
Ah, so you are alive. Good morning, little prodigy.
You missed quite a bit of practice time, you know.
[When he opens the door, he still seems a little pale and drawn, but still much, much better than when he'd only just been healed after the knife to the gut and thigh.]
( A night or two after The Incident, there's the sound, strangely, coming from somewhere in Ahito's room. Too quiet to notice at first, until gradually it becomes a little louder - the doer not so practiced in this particular art - and it becomes clear it comes from Ahito's window - not beyond it, but inside: the lock itself, warbling and wiggling as the lock picks and turns, until, finally, it clicks.
And then the window snaps open - whether it opens in or out or up - and Mika steps in onto the windowsill, gaze sweeping in the direction he's pretty sure Ahito is in, based on what he could hear and marginally sense. )
[ A day or two after the whole Possession Thing, Ahito will get a knock at his window. Kurapika really isn't the kind of guy who would go around knocking on windows, but... Ahito did start the tradition first.
Call it fate or strange or what have you, but his friendship with Ahito makes it easier for him to do things like this. ]
Don't mind him as he suddenly looks around in confusion. It's a little like when they were first granted magic and became attuned to the feeling of spirits around them, but... not quite so far-reaching, maybe?
[For once, Ithaqua has knocked on a door... but disappears immediately, leaving behind a hint of his magical signature and a small paper bag with half a dozen buns of freshly baked sourdough, each one slightly smaller than a fist, perfectly bite-sized. There's also fruit jam inside, nice and sweet, and with not a lot of that overly processed sugar Ithaqua dislikes either. How did he get it in there? Magic, of course. What flavors are there? Strawberry, blueberry, peach, lemon marmalade, and orange marmalade.
In contrast to the sweets, there are two vials of leafy green potions as well, with "healing" very clearly written in Ithaqua's overly formal script.
Enjoy, silly fellow Northie. Let's not murder each other when the mission is underway.]
[ At some point before the North wizards get called away, there's a small gift bag hanging on Ahito's doorknob. In it is a small glass bottle filled with dandelion wishes and petals - from lilies, from roses, from all the new and familiar flowers Ginger has encountered while he gardens. The bottle feels warm to hold - and warmer still the longer it's held. At its peak, it will burn the frost away from the inside out for whoever holds it. The duration doesn't last too long, perhaps an hour at best if used all at once, but whatever conflicting feelings Ginger has, he wants Ahito to return safe and sound and unchanged.
The bag waits patiently for the room's owner to find it before they leave - or when they return. ]
[ Following the climax of the mission, Jing Yuan will come along to check in on Ahito.
He hadn't had the opportunity to speak with him upon the arrival of the others, so...yeah. There is a knock on the door sometime in the next few days. ]
[Lbr he probably slept in slightly today, which means while's up before noon he's still only been up for around an hour or so. He's still stifling a yawn when he comes to answer the door.]
...Shinjiro?
[He's got some color back and looks, just, generally better now that he's had time to sleep off the worst of the exhaustion.]

a day following post-courtyard incident
Best to check on the person who ended up getting held hostage and injured for a bit, right?
Guess who is getting a knock on his door following everything that happened? It's at least a day after it's happened so that he's had rest. ]
Good day. This is Jing Yuan.
no subject
...Can I help you?
no subject
I haven't come to demand much of you.
[ Jing Yuan does make it clear why he's arrived, however. ]
I thought it best to check in as most ought to after a harrowing event. How are your wounds? Healing as they should?

You're back.
[No "welcome" or anything, merely a statement.]

Ahh, good! You're here. I was worried you wouldn't answer if I told you who was knocking.

His silly smile quickly vanishes, though. He holds up a red leather tome in his hand. ]
