[ A day or two after the whole Possession Thing, Ahito will get a knock at his window. Kurapika really isn't the kind of guy who would go around knocking on windows, but... Ahito did start the tradition first.

Call it fate or strange or what have you, but his friendship with Ahito makes it easier for him to do things like this. ]

Still recovering from some bloodloss, but otherwise fully healed.

[Going to grab the chair from the desk for himself.]

[ To be expected, really. He worked hard. ]

Other than that, are you alright? You were held hostage, after all.

He did. I don't know if he actually believes me when I tell him that, though.

As for being held hostage... Well, it sucked, but I made it out. It could've been a lot worse.

[ And he doesn't know that Ahito is really letting it sink in just how bad it was, but... he gets it. ]

...Once he had me hostage, there was no way I was getting out of there unscathed. Especially since he wanted all wizards dead from the start... Either he'd injure me, or kill me on the spot. There was no getting out of that.

[ He breathes out, closing his eyes. ]

Even so, I should have at least tried to subdue Akira at that point... I just couldn't bring myself to do it.

[ What would he have done if he failed and either of them got hurt? They both ended up hurt regardless, but still. ]

Mm. Even though logically he was going to hurt me anyway, it's hard to make the actual decision when there's a hostage.

[ He sits up just so he can cross his arms. ]

[ He rolls his eyes. ]

[ Kurapika relaxes back against the couch again, but there's still a frown on his face. ]

I'll bring juice and snacks later. You need extra nutrients right now.

[Sighing in relief, goddamn you guys and your harebrained schemes.]
