[Even though Kiryu looks pretty much intact. Everyone else in Central returned with injuries, yet Kiryu somehow managed to keep himself nice and pristine on that regard -- even though it's easy to guess he sure didn't try to avoid danger. He just isn't the kind of person to cower in a corner]
If you're trying to check on me I'm fine. The rest should get your attention.
Out of those who left and came back most recently, I'm acquainted with only two, hehe. You being one of them. [With that, he slips onto a chair and crosses his legs] I've already paid the other a visit, and now it's your turn.
Whether that moment with the rock where I felt as if my soul was being torn affected me or not remains to be seen. I'm sure if the worst happens I can be subdued, though.
[After all, his magic isn't top notch yet, and although he has plenty physical power he has no doubt magic has an edge over it. Still, all five Central wizards felt that moment, and -- spoilers -- it didn't really harm him, but still, he doesn't really rule out it messed up something and he doesn't know yet]
Would that be the only solution or is there anything less drastic?
[Ithaqua bringing up killing Kiryu doesn't seem to bother him as much as it should. His mortality is something he has thought of a lot the last few months]
[He doesn't look bad because he's used to a nocturnal life after thirty years or so of it, but still, if Ithaqua were to be clever, he'd definitely see signs that Kiryu, even though he returned intact, is not in top physical shape.
Which is impressive, really, that Kiryu can be quite impressive physically-speaking even though he's not on his prime anymore. He was incredible, when he was healthier]
[Ithaqua takes that statement the wrong way. He's well aware that Kiryu might as well be as old as his mother, perhaps even older, but while the aches and pains of aging humans are not unknown to him... Ithaqua just doesn't think about them right now.]
Hmm... [Now Ithaqua thinks. He wonders if there's a solution to this.] Wait here a moment.
[As if this isn't Kiryu's room...!
Ithaqua scuttles out of the window again and climbs the several stories up to his own room, completely unafraid. When he returns just minutes later, he has two tiny sachets in his clawed hand, one smelling faintly like lemon tea, and the other like lavender.]
Put one of these under your pillow while you rest, and we'll see what works for you.

You're mostly intact physically, yes?
[At the very least, Ithaqua doesn't smell blood.]

Do you want to know what I've learned? I've learned that magic leaves its mark-- only time will tell when it will show itself.
I would loathe to have to kill you, should it be pushed to that extreme. [Ithaqua, not wanting to kill? What is this.]

I suppose it depends on how invasive and corrosive it is.

[It's a given, he's sure!]

Here I thought we could simply be wizards, but apparently we must be shamans and priests as well.

[When you can do magic, you can do anything]

Aside from these things... that are actually dangerous. I suppose there should be some excitement in our lives somehow.
[Now he drums his fingers on his knee, thinking more.] You've rested, yes?

Lingering effects from the mission? Nightmares?

[Ever felt so tired resting doesn't seem to solve it? Yeah]

...you didn't have to go out of your way to do this.
[This is truly thoughtful of Ithaqua, he thinks to himself, taking the satchels]

Put it this way-- you'll help me further my studies in magic, while having a chance to sleep well.

[More because he's willing to help Ithaqua with his studies in magic, really]
Thanks. Truly.
