[ Jing Yuan steps in and goes to plant himself down in a chair because he intends to be here this time for awhile. ]
First, can you tell me how you're feeling right now? And, I was curious about why there was that great amount of tension in the first place. I know what that human did, but I'd like to get the full story on how it began to ramp up, and potentially other consequences we had not yet heard of.
[ Partly to get a better full picture, and partly in a way he hopes that can help prevent it from occurring again. Maybe. ]
There was tension because Mika said something that rubbed Shinjiro and I the wrong way. The guy thought that somehow, all humans will make bad decisions like the guy in the East did. Something like that. That's how I interpreted it, anyway. Simply put, it wasn't the best decision to go on about it in front of two humans.
Hmm, I see. I won't rehash more asking into that particular matter, then. As unfortunate as it is.
[ Jing Yuan wonders idly if something like this can be an issue where amends are made, though he understands that will take a great deal, from each perspectives. ]
...And how are you doing now? In missions like these, exposure to worrying elements seem to be quite common.
[ Checking in on both mental and physical state. ]
[ And for that, Yamato is grateful. He doesn't want to have to explain himself on this matter anymore. He's tired. Jing Yuan seems to have caught on and that's part of why Yamato likes him as much as he does.
As for his other question, well... ]
Honestly, Jing Yuan? I'm exhausted. That's the most I've had to do since I got here.
[ ... ]
The creator...I don't think this was his intention. But we'll never know, I guess. He's dead.
[ Yeah, he certainly does get it. Fortunately, he is someone who essentially is able to be quite observant when it comes to these matters.
But, ultimately, he is glad when Yamato confides in him. ]
And I am glad you did the best you could, given the situation.
[ As well as came out still level-headed, even if just tired. ]
...Closure on a chaotic situation like that can be hard to achieve. However, it doesn't mean one shouldn't try to see if it's possible. And if it isn't, I don't believe it's terrible to want some.
[ Closure, huh. Some ending they got on that mission. He's been stewing on it, but Jing Yuan doesn't need to hear him complain, so he bites his tongue. ]
We all did. I'm glad we made it out alive, at least. I don't know if we would've if we put in any less effort.
[ Jing Yuan certainly wouldn't call that closure, actually...though he certainly understood Yamato wanting to try to achieve it. ]
I had faith that you all would've at least come out of it alive. It may seem like hardly a comfort, but I consider that important as well.
[ He can't force Yamato to say anything else if he doesn't want to, and he has an inkling there is something else unsaid because he didn't address his last three sentences, so instead he shifts the topic elsewhere. ]
While we're here, I also happen to have a question unrelated to it, however. Did you get the chance to speak to anyone important at the ball that happened weeks ago?
That's kind of you, Jing Yuan. Your faith in me means a lot, you know.
[ And thanks for the topic change, you're a real one. He doesn't like thinking about Collodi's dead body, especially after he'd talked to the guy weeks ago. Yamato also thought he intentionally did all of this before he found out that it was just an experiment gone terribly wrong, so...his feelings are complicated, to say the least.
Speaking of which, though... ]
I did. His name was Joseph Collodi -- the creator that perished on our mission.
I suppose I may as well ask about what the two of you spoke then at the time, if it is not too much trouble.
[ Jing Yuan offers, as a just in case. It seems kind of unavoidable, though he will certainly try another time to shift gears if it appears it's a bit too much in this regard as well.
But, sometimes fate points one in a certain direction, and there are reasons for that. ]
Don't worry about it. I don't mind talking about it.
[ He sees that damb expression and can't help but laugh a little. Jing Yuan...you are trying your best and that's what matters. ]
I just know he was really, really into advancing his creations and pushing them further. I gave him a suggestion...to make them sing. And, well. He definitely did that, and we saw it on the mission.
[ His efforts are being acknowledged and he is glad it is not due to gracelessness in conversation but simply happenstance. Anyway... ]
I see. That is most certainly apparent.
Interesting that at least one individual who showed up on a mission was witnessed at the ball, however. It is something to consider, perhaps, in the grand scheme of things. Since I know the ball itself had essentially high-profile individuals.

[ He shrugs. ]
That's all.

[ . . .
The look on his face is just the epitome of damb. Just wanted to let you know that. ]
