[It takes a moment, but Urianger eventually appears at the door. Behind him, Yamato can see that his room already looks well lived in, with books and papers scattered about on tables and shelves. It's very fantasy medieval vibes in there.
Though he's wearing a curious expression when he opens the door, it levels into something gentler when he sees who his visitor is.]
Ah, Yamato. 'Tis good to see thee. [Considering the harrowing event from the other day...] Art thou in need of something from me?
[ Wow, don't strain that giraffe neck looking down at him, Urianger. ]
Uh, hey. I was... just. [ He's already fidgeting with the edges of his ruana nervously but, frankly? That's normal. As he looks waaaay up at the elezen. ] Just, y'know, wondering if you. Would. Want to tag along when I, um, try... seeing if I can see how this all is going to shake out?
[ Of course, in case that's all confusing, he's quick to add, ]
I mean, looking in the future. I. Still don't know if it'll work here but I have some concerns, sooo, it's worth a shot?
[Maybe Bruno should stop being so short!! But in actuality, he's really not bothered to do so. Elezens get used to it.
He listens patiently and attentively as Bruno works through what he wants to say, though he lifts his head with interest about halfway through when he realizes what Bruno's asking.]
Thou wouldst attempt a divination. [He's quick to follow with a nod.] Aye, I would accompany thee, and lend what aid I can.
[His own efforts have not yet born fruit, but he expected that. This world's stars are so different from his own. It's going to take some time to adjust. But Bruno's method might generalized enough to work anywhere.
...attempt a divination... [ Bruno echoes the words quietly and looks thoughtful. ] Huh. I wonder if people would hate my visions less if I explained them that fancily.
[ Probably not! ]
Uh, but, great! Good. That's. Yeah, good. I figure someone who's studied this stuff might help a lot if. If it works, anyway, or if it ends up being weird or something.
[Huh. Urianger wasn’t expecting noise at his window of all things. He wanders over after setting his book down, and to his surprise there’s someone on the other side of it.
He stares for a solid second or two before opening it.]
Hail, traveler. [He can’t help but offer that greeting when his guest took such a strange route to his room.] What bringeth thee to my window?
[ that's a different greeting than Comet expected. But! It's kind of fun, like they're in a storybook. ]
I have something for you. You seemed like the type who would enjoy it out of everyone here.
[ It's a bag of tea cookies, and fragrant ones at that. They don't know if they can just go into Urianger's room without asking beforehand, so they offer out their hand with the gift first. ]
You can think of it a thank you for helping out with the ghost incident... I noticed you can heal, even if you're not assigned to the South. So it must be something... you've done before?
[For once, Ithaqua has knocked on a door... but disappears immediately, leaving behind a hint of his magical signature and a small paper bag with ten buns of freshly baked sourdough, each one slightly smaller than a fist, perfectly bite-sized. There's also fruit jam inside, nice and sweet, and with not a lot of that overly processed sugar Ithaqua dislikes either. How did he get it in there? Magic, of course. What flavors are there? Strawberry, blueberry, peach, lemon marmalade, orange marmalade, and a massive helping of mango.
[If not for the magical signature, that mango filling would certainly have given away the identity of the baker. The treats are a very welcome surprise though, and Urianger knows what he'll be having with his tea for the foreseeable future.
[From the window, Ithaqua will be able to see Urianger lounging on his couch with a book in hand. The tapping catches his attention though, and he quickly lifts his head. To his surprise, it's Ithaqua at his window this time. He quickly sets his book down and strides over once he makes this discovery.]
This is quite the entrance, Ithaqua.
[Come in, come in! He offers his hand to make it easier.]
But shouldst thou be exerting thyself in such a manner?
Heheh! [Ithaqua accepts Urianger's hand, and allows himself to "fall" gracefully into his lover's arms. While still supporting his own weight, of course.]
It's simply a short climb, and I am refreshed.
[Until the next time he feels sleepy during the day.]
[Good thing Ithaqua is supporting himself too because the move takes Urianger by surprise. They could've both ended up on the floor.]
Be that as it may... [He properly embraces Ithaqua as if he'd truly fallen into him.] I would escort thee to thy room once we have finished here.
[Just so he doesn't have to worry about the image of seeing Ithaqua drop from the wall on his way back.]
Art thou here to visit? I can make us some tea.
[And now that Ithaqua is properly in the room, he's free to take in the sights of clutter in just about every corner of it. Stacks of books, papers, experimental tools, you name it. Urianger is not very organized, as it happens.]
I am indeed here for a visit. [Accompanied by a nuzzle to the underside of Urianger's chin.] And given I am also here to continue our little chat, something to wet my throat wouldn't go amiss.
[Even if a cuddle on the bed would be quite nice... Ithaqua would like to stay awake. Especially when this is his first time in his lover's room. It's cozy, it smells of books, it seems wonderful. Perhaps he'll sleep here, and not return to his room until tomorrow.]
[ Urianger will wake up on Monday to a very peculiar scene. They will see who they saw when they stepped into the mysterious circle a week ago...but the visage of who it was before scatters to the wind, and reforms as someone new. The thread of fate severs, and who you were one fated to be with matters no longer, as a new person takes their place with green petals.
Who Urianger sees is an incredibly small figure. They stand with their hands on their hips and their head held high, and not even the petals can hide the way they're beaming, grinning from ear to ear, as if they have a lot to smile about. The petals shift, and in the figure's hand is some kind of rod with a line dangling off of the tip, waiting for something to strike.
The vision fades as fast as it came, however, and before they know it, Urianger is grounded back in reality once more. ]
[After their date, Ithaqua had disappeared mostly to parts unknown-- namely, his room, and only resurfacing for food and to give Urianger a regular hug. Sometimes with snow and ice shavings on his shoulder. But this time? He stands outside Urianger's door, waiting to be let in, a small chest clutched under one arm.
He's hooded and masked, but has removed the mask after knocking. He looks a bit solemn. Nervous, too.]
[Urianger is grateful for Ithaqua's frequent visits, otherwise leaving him to his own devices. They both have their own business to attend to, after all. They can't expect to be stapled to each other all the time.
However, this visit stands out. When Urianger answers the door, he isn't expecting Ithaqua at all. He's become so accustomed to his lover rapping at his window to be let in.]
Ithaqua? [Unmasked, Ithaqua's expression is laid bare for Urianger to read.] Is aught amiss?
[He won't make Ithaqua answer in the hallway, though. He steps back to let him inside.]
[Ithaqua shakes his head as part of his answer. Nothing is wrong... but he worries that something will be soon. But he'll tell Urianger that once he's situated in his lover's room, taking a seat at the usual table and setting the small chest down.]
You and your fellows are the only ones left who have yet to accomplish a quest by the sage, yes? [He's not expecting an answer to that comment, but it should give some insight to Ithaqua's reasoning.
Then he waves at the chest.]
I brought you a few things that may help, should you find yourself in danger during it.
[Closing the door behind him, Urianger follows to join Ithaqua at the table. The moment Ithaqua brings up the quest, Urianger begins to understand where that uncertainty is coming from.]
Is that so? Thou hast my thanks, Ithaqua, truly.
[He would be lying if he claimed to have no uncertainty of his own for the upcoming mission. Who knows what a mission in the West will bring them? He's done enough to prepare on his own, but he's definitely not going to refuse some backup gear from his fellow wizards- his lover especially.]

...
Dabs...back...? IS THIS A GREETING WHERE YAMATO'S FROM? Anyway, Urianger looks pleasantly surprised.]
Ah. Thou hast auspicious timing, in that case. My schedule is entirely open for training.
Shall we make our way to the training grounds?

Sure thing. Let's go.

I was hoping you could show me some defensive magic.

It take a bit of peering down to see who his visitor is once he opens up his door, but he's quick to smile when he finds Bruno standing there.]
Good evening, Bruno. To what do I owe the pleasure?
