[ Pre-Akira's everything, Yamato is hanging around by the alcohol. Unbeknownst to people here, he's actually pretty big on drinking and likes his beer quite a lot! Here, though, he's choosing to partake in a glass of wine. He's gotta be a little classy, after all.
He spots Day at the corner of his eye and gives him a little wave. ]
It's only good fun as long as no one's feelings get hurt. [ And he thought he might have hurt Ginger's since it was a bit of fun at his expense. ] What's so embarrassin' 'bout being called cute, though?
[ Day had said whenever, and yet - maybe coming around this time is too much? Too annoying?
When Ginger knocks on his door, he looks - flushed, hair curling behind his ears a little, sticking to the base of his neck. There’s a new bite on display, clean and recent. But he’s awfully red for someone who just lost some blood. ]
[ After telling Ginger he'd commit to healing him after those feeding sessions, Day's made a point of staying up later than usual since most of this manor seems to be nocturnal, anyway. He can worry about fixing his sleep schedule later.
He opens the door, already half-expecting it'll be Ginger, and...
...Hm. ]
I wouldn't be answerin' if it was a bad time. [ He'll step aside to let Ginger in. ]
[ He is so tired. But yeah, Yamato will enter the room and rub the back of his head, frustrated. ]
The first time was while Solomon and I were on a job. That worked out pretty well for us. The second time, well...let's just say another blood frenzy happened, and I had no choice but to knock Mika out for a little while.
[It takes a little while for Malice to leave Yamato's room, but that's probably not exactly a surprise given everything they decided to be in front of the healers (sorry not sorry). But Day's room is the first Malice goes to after that, pausing in front of the door before knocking. He's got his prosthetic arm off because today has already been so much and he just wants to go back to sleep.
[ Day...manages to answer, except. Well, frankly, he also looks kind of exhausted. Debatable if he actually got rest that felt restful. At first, he seems kind of startled to see Malice, then...relieved? ]
Yeah, sure. Wanna come in? [ He'll step aside to make way for Malice. ]
[Wherein no one will get traumatized and both Day and Akira will enjoy their fun little plant-collecting journey... Just kidding.
Their original plan to visit the Forest of Dreams a couple weeks ago was shelved due to unforeseen events, but now, Akira has decided, is as good a time as any. He comes knocking early in the morning bundled up in warm layers and a comfortable scarf, a thermos in one hand and a knapsack slung over his shoulder, but that's not all Akira has with him.
When Day opens the door, he'll find at his feet a familiar-looking vase that's been painstakingly glued back together and made whole again. What's more, it's overflowing with cheerful sunflowers bearing Akira's magical signature. Growing these was a much easier feat with a little magical assistance.]
[ Ginger manages to slip out of his room on the second day back, which is, unfortunately, the first full day of his cold. Naturally he’s more flushed than usual, even though he normally burns hot anyway. It’s not a good look, but he wouldn’t want to miss seeing Day either, so he’s here. ]
… Day?
[ His voice sounds a shade off - almost normal, if a little more hushed. It’s both the mild congestion and - he doesn’t know if Mika would be able to hear him and wake. ]
[ On the one hand, Day was expecting Ginger, so he's not surprised to see him at the door. On the other hand, Ginger's got a full-blown cold now, which Day should have also expected.
So he wordlessly grabs Ginger's arm and pulls him into his room, much like what Ginger did to him only a couple of weeks before. ]
You can sit on my bed if you want. [ While he wonders to himself if he's going to need to boil some water himself, since he can summon a washcloth, sure, but is there hot water on hand?
He's also going to his room door, holding his chin in thought before tracing some kind of symbol on it. ]
Amor manet. [ Guess it's time to learn if he can soundproof his room like this. ]
[For once, Ithaqua has knocked on a door... but disappears immediately, leaving behind a hint of his magical signature and a small paper bag with half a dozen buns of freshly baked sourdough, each one slightly smaller than a fist, perfectly bite-sized. There's also fruit jam inside, nice and sweet, and with not a lot of that overly processed sugar Ithaqua dislikes either. How did he get it in there? Magic, of course. What flavors are there? Strawberry, blueberry, peach, lemon marmalade, and orange marmalade.
Enjoy! Don't burn the manor down while the Northies are gone.]
[God. He hates the ocean. He hates the ocean. He hates this stupid, beautiful, horrifying ocean.
It's all he really has drilling through his head as he mingles through the expanses of the island, trying to hunt down certain people. Surrounded on every side by water with an agonizingly close distance to the beach at every turn, Solomon would rather be back at home than here with his focus shot under who knows how many stressors.
But there are a few he wants to check in on, and Day is one of them. So he's trapsing through the sand, looking particularly grumpy as he looks up and down the surf, the streets, trying to figure out where Day is without resorting to a magical signature. He has so little to spare here, surely he doesnt have to track him like a bloodhound...?]
[ The good news for Solomon is that Day happens to be one of the stalls at the nearby market. The owner is chatting him up in between trying to sell him a magical charm, and Day seems to be returning the favor while also trying to dodge parting with his hard-earned coin. Please save him, Solomon. ]
[ ... is what Ginger casually greets Day with when he answers the knock. Normally, Ginger would be real nervous about something like this - it's probably the most difficult, most complex magic he's had to work on. But supposedly Eastern wizards are good at this precise type of magic. And it had taken some trial and error with both Mika - and Phil, who is probably standing behind or beside Ginger. Surprise? Did he mention that Phil was in on this - ]
This is me returning the favor from the ritual and bracelet. And it's going to work.
[ Because feeling-wise, Ginger has no doubts. Might explain why he's not nervous about this. ]

week 3 (event 2)
He spots Day at the corner of his eye and gives him a little wave. ]
Yo. Having a good time?
no subject
Oh, hey! Yeah, I've been having fun. You? [ He didn't see Yamato on the dance floor, so he assumes he's been hanging around instead. ]
no subject
[ He takes a quick sip of his wine. ]
I saw you having some fun out there. It's nice to see people enjoying themselves.

week 4, monday, post-stabby
When Day answers, he'll be greeted with an exasperated Yamato. ]
I tried the curses. Twice. Both times, they worked.
no subject
...Well, normally he would congratulate Yamato for his progress, but the look of Yamato's face says there's more to it than that. ]
Yeah? [ Day steps aside, inviting Yamato to come in if he wants. He gets the feeling this isn't a conversation to be had in the hallway. ]
What happened?
